It has been far too long since the last time I had been able to get out exploring with my camera, just for the sake of enjoyment. I had no goal in mind this past weekend, on my journey through the ruins of the old State Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina, other than to document some of the buildings in decay before they are gone.
Once upon a time, this haunting complex was once called the South Carolina Lunatic Asylum, then later renamed to the South Carolina Hospital for the Insane. This is a small selection of what I found, that struck me for one reason or another.
